設定資料（中文）：擁有硬質外皮和巨大鉤爪的古代魚數碼獸。在修復被惡性黑客破壞的計算機網絡時，在網絡之海被發現的數碼獸，身體構造非常原始，擁有手足般發達的鰭。因此一般認為在網絡之海誕生的原始數碼獸，經過多次進化成為陸生形態，并數量增加形成了各種各樣的種類。必殺技是用巨大鉤爪襲擊敵人的「變異飛鏢」。

設定資料（日文）：硬質な外皮と、巨大な鍵爪を持つ古代魚デジモン。悪質なハッカーにより破壊されたコンピュータネットワークを修復している際に、ネットの海で発見されたデジモンで、體の構造が非常に原始的で、手足のように発達したヒレを持っている。この事から、ネットの海で発生した原始デジモンは幾多の進化を経て陸生形態になり、さまざまな種類へとその數を増やしていったと考えられる。必殺技は巨大な鍵爪で敵に襲い掛かる『ヴァリアブルダーツ』。

Coelamon appears as an obtainable Adult-level Data type Digimon in?Digimon World.

After you talk to?Tunomon?and?Yuramon, they will mention a special Digimon that swims around when it"s afternoon or evening in the beach, which is actually the?Coela Point?when the clock is pointing to the red area. Once you reach to the Coela Point, you can see a shadow swimming in the sea, and if you approach to it, a Coelamon will appear and will assist you once you tell it that the Digi Bridge is broken. Coelamon calls out for its friends and help you travel to the?Tropical Jungle. After you get there, go to the west, and you"ll see that the?Digi Bridge?has been repaired and will be able to take you back to the?Village of Beginnings. Go back to the Coela Point, this time at any time to meet Coelamon again and talk to it, revealing that he wants to join the?city, where he sets up a small shop stand, selling some useful items. Once you recruit?Betamon, it will assist Coelamon in its job, providing more stuff.

After either?Unimon,?Monochromon,?Patamon?or?Piyomon?has been recruited along with?Centalmon, Coelamon will quit its Shop business and hang around in the?Centar Clinic.
